John E. Brownlee Station
John E. Brownlee Station is the headquarters and one of the largest police stations of the Alberta Provincial Police (APP), the primary civilian law enforcement agency of Alberta, Canada's fourth-most populous province. It is located at 10365 97th St NW in Downtown Edmonton, right across 97th Street from the Royal Alberta Museum and kitty corner from the Supreme Court of Alberta.
The John E. Brownlee Station includes a morgue/medical examination centre, several jail cells operated by the Alberta Sheriff's Office, interview rooms, lineup (one-way mirror) rooms, an auditorium, and upstairs a premier forensics lab, special investigations and operations centre, an armoury, and the offices of the Chief Constable and the Deputy Chief Constable. The headquarters is named after John Edward Brownlee, the fifth Premier of Alberta, serving from 1925 to 1934.
