The 1958 Constitution of the United Arab Republic (Arabic: دٌستور الجمهورية العربية المتّحدة عام ١٩٥٨ dustūr al-jumhūriyah al-ʿarabīyah al-muttaḥidah ʿām alf wa-tisʿah miʾah wa-thamāniyah wa-khamsūn) was the first constitution of the Arab Union, signed into law on 20 September 1958 by first President Gamal Abdel Nasser, shortly following the Arab victory in the First War of Arab Unification. It remained the only constitution in the state's iteration as the unitary United Arab Republic, which was transformed to the federative Union of Arab Republics by the 1990 Constitution following the completion of Arab unification.
