The Air Force Intelligence Directorate (Arabic: إدارة المخابرات الجوية idārat al-mukhābarāt al-jawīyah) in an intelligence agency subordinate to the Ministry of Defence of the Arab Union. It is officially responsible for the military intelligence and counterintelligence needs of the Arab Air Force, and also handles many additional foreign intelligence and political security roles, considered one of the most powerful security agencies of the government of the Arab Union, possibly more powerful than the Joint Security Committee's "B" Directorate. The Air Force Intelligence Directorate operates the nation's network of spy satellites, and commands all reconnaissance aircraft of the Air Force, including drones.
