Jamousiya
Jamousiya (Arabic: الجاموسيا al-jāmūsiyā) is a baladiya and suburb of Nasser City within the Capital metropolitan community, due north east of Victory Square by approximately 15 km. Administratively part of the District of Quneitra, Syria, Jamousiya is the location of the Sham Gateway Interchange, where the M3 and M30 motorways join to form the South Golan Tollway that carries both routes the rest of the way to Nasser City. The presence of the interchange, one of the busiest in the Arab Union, has made Jamousiya an important regional hub, hosting major commercial and industrial developments like Sham Gateway Shopping Centre, Sham Gateway Hotel, Metropolitan Exhibition Centre, and the main manufacturing facilities of Artec Aerospace Systems; it is also the location of Sham Gateway Railway Station and MinDef Ain Sakhina, the operational headquarters of the Arab Army. The population of the baladiya was 117,805 at the 2020 census.
