Jump to navigationJump to searchAppalachia City, colloquially known as Capital City, is the capital and most populous city and metropolitan area of the U.S. state of Appalachia. Appalachia City has a 2021 population of 505,427 and a metropolitan population of over 1.88 million, almost one-third of which is located across the state border in Tennessee, including Appalachia City's twin city of Knoxville, the second-most populous city in the metropolitan area, located across the Tennessee River from Appalachia City, which forms the state boundary between Appalachia and Tennessee.
