The Arab Army Secondary Reserve (Arabic: احتياطي الجيش العربي الثاني aḥtiyāṭī al-jaysh al-‘arabī ath-thānī) is the secondary reserve component of the Arab Army, the land component and largest service branch of the Arab Union's military, the Union Defence Forces. Reservists of the Secondary Reserve are typically less well-trained than reservists of the Primary Reserve, and only called upon for active duty once virtually all soldiers of the regular Arab Army and most of the Primary Reserve have either died or have already been called to other battles, thus creating a demand for yet more manpower. I’m March 2021, there were 383,775 members of the Secondary Reserve. The remaining approximately 273,565 reservists are members of the Tertiary Reserve, the third, smallest and least well-trained or specialised reserve force of the Arab Army.
