The Arab National Museum (Arabic: المتحف القومي العربي al-mitḥaf al-qawmī al-‘arabī) is the national museum of the Arab Union. It is located on Victory Square in the Bab el-Masdar borough of Nasser City, the federal capital of the Arab Union. The Arab National Museum houses works of art from all periods of Arab history (including paintings, sculptures, poetry, codices, etc.), with a view to preserving the country's national cultural heritage. It is the primary national archive of cultural works, although most major cities throughout the Arab Union do contain museums of their own. However, the Arab National Museum is by far the largest in the country, both in terms of physical size and the amount of works on display. The Arab National Museum is funded and managed by the federal government's Ministry of Culture.
