Assistant Chief Constable (abbreviated ACC) is the third-highest officer rank of the Lower Mainland Constabulary, and the highest rank which more than one officer may hold at a time. All Assistant Chief Constables answer directly to the Deputy Chief Constable of the Lower Mainland Constabulary (DCC), and ultimately the Chief Constable, usually via the DCC. There are currently 11 ACCs in the Lower Mainland Constabulary: one for each of the 10 directorates, with every division, squad and unit being subordinate to a particular directorate, and one who acts as Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Constable and immediate deputy of the Deputy Chief Constable.
