Atlantica Alba (island)

Atlantica Alba (Atlantic: Albas Atlas; Basque: Albao Atlantikoa; Spanish: Alba Atlántica) is a large island located in the eastern Atlantic Ocean in the northern hemisphere, approximately 400 km from Continental Europe, separated from France and Spain by the Bay of Biscay. It is the largest and principal island of the Kingdom of Atlantica Alba, accounting for just over 90% of its sovereign territory and population. The island is 144,160 km2 in area, making it the 13th-largest island in the world, and with a population of approximately 31.1 million, the 6th-most populous. The island has a temperate oceanic climate with four distinct but mostly mild seasons. Atlantica Alba has mostly flat terrain in the south with some hill formations, while its north is much more hilly and also includes three distinct mountain ranges. Its highest point is Mount Benjamin at 4116 m (13,504 ft), the third-highest island peak in the world, and its lowest point is the dry lake of Avalon Flats at 103 m below sea level (-338 ft).
