Attorney General of Ontario

The Attorney General of Ontario (French: Procureur général de l'Ontario) is the chief legal advisor to the Government of Ontario. The Attorney General is a senior minister of the Crown, and oversees the Ministry of Justice of Ontario – the executive department responsible for overseeing and administering the justice system at the provincial level. The Attorney General is an elected Member of the Assembly of Ontario who is appointed by the Deputy President of Ontario on advice of the Premier of Ontario.
