Bandar al-Mayadeen (Arabic: بندر الميادين), colloquially known as the Bandar (البندر al-bandar’'; lit. "the port"), is a 900-metre pedestrian mall in Nasser City. It extends, north to south, from Pan Arab Plaza in The Commons to Victory Square in Bab el-Mutasarref, connecting the capital's central business and government districts. Anchoring the busy corridor of the capital's commercial centre, it is home to multiple boutique shops, luxury retailers, upscale restaurants, trendy cafés, popular bars and nightclubs, and several prominent cinemas, theatres and other live venues, serving, by day and night, respectively, as a major centre of shopping and tourism and the heart of the city's entertainment district and nightlife. Arsuzi Avenue, one of the major thoroughfares of the city centre and part of the national A9 road, runs parallel to Khan al-Mayadeen below ground via the Khan al-Mayadeen Tunnel, allowing automobile traffic direct, detour-free travel through the corridor.
