Beit el-Araba (Arabic: بيت العربة bayt al-‘arabah) is a small city and baladiyah in the West Bank, Palestine, located about 5 km south of Jericho. The 2020 Arab Union census recorded a total population of 10,409, of which Sunnis represented 81.5% and Twelvers 12.3%, with the remaining 6.2% divided more or less equally between Jews, Alawites and Maronites. Beit el-Araba is home to the New Canaan Fusion Station, the world's only fusion power generating facility, which employs 4400 workers and is the largest single employer in the Jericho area.
