Bytown is the densest and most populous of the six boroughs of the Canadian federal capital of Ottawa. It includes the neighbourhoods of Parliament Hill, Downtown, Lowertown, Chinatown, Little Italy, Sandy Hill and Rideau, and is home to a residential population of over 833,000; the borough's daytime population regularly exceeds 1.5 million.
