The Cabinet Liaison Office (Arabic: مكتب تنسيق الحكومة maktab tansīq al-ḥukūmah) is an office within the Presidential Executive Office of the Arab Union. It is responsible for facilitating seamless and efficient communication between the President of the Arab Union and the Prime Minister of the Arab Union. As the Arab Union is a semi-presidential republic, the cabinet or executive government (the body in charge of all the ministries and other executive departments) is led by a prime minister who serves as head of government; the President is head of state but vested with strong discretionary power over the Prime Minister, which is exercised through the Cabinet Liaison Office. The Cabinet Liaison Office is composed of about 25 civil servants who are led by the president-appointed Cabinet Liaison Officer (ضابط تنسيق الحكومة ḍābiṭ tansīq al-ḥukūmah). The Cabinet Liaison Office has its headquarters in the Presidential Palace's north wing and also maintains a smaller office at the Republican Hall (official workplace of the Prime Minister and meeting place of his cabinet).
