Service branches of the Canadian Forces

(Redirected from Canadian Forces service branch)
Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Canadian Armed Forces are the regular military forces of the Canadian Republic, which consist of four main service branches (French: directions des services): the Army, Navy, Aerospace Forces and the Gendarmerie. The Canadian Forces also consist of several special services which are functionally separate from any of the four main service branches, such as the Amphibious Combat Corps, the Special Airborne Command, the Special Operations Command and the Military Intelligence Corps. While each of the four main service branches has its own distinct ranking system, all special services use a ranking system identical to that of the Canadian Army.
