The Canadian Navy (French: Marine canadienne) is the naval warfare service branch of the Canadian Forces, and the second-largest service branch by number of active-duty personnel, after the Canadian Army. Art McDonald is the current Admiral of the Fleet of the Canadian Navy, the highest naval rank in Canada and ex officio commanding officer of the Canadian Navy, subordinate only to the Chief of the Defence Staff and Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff.

As of December 2020, the Canadian Navy consists of 339,340 active-duty personnel, 187,266 reserve personnel, 133 watercraft including six aircraft carriers, and 665 aircraft including 230 fighter jets and 168 helicopters. Its headquarters is CFB Cooper Marsh, located on the north bank of the Saint Lawrence River in Lancaster, Glengarry County, Ontario; it is one of 33 operational bases of the Canadian Navy, 11 of which are located in foreign countries. Its largest bases are CFB Halifax and CFB Esquimalt, both essentially equal in physical size and number of personnel, located on the coast of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, respectively.
