Capital Express (Arabic: إكسبريس العاصمة iksbrays al-ʿāṣimah) is a commuter rail network serving the Capital metropolitan community, also known as Greater Nasser City. It consists of 7 lines operating along SKK rail infrastructure, which is shared with intercity passenger and freight rail traffic. Functioning as an extension of the Capital Metro rapid transit system, each line begins at or beyond the Green Horseshoe (edge of Greater Nasser City) inbound for the urban centre, stopping once or twice in each suburban town or city along the way until reaching a Capital Metro terminus station—where passengers have the option of transferring between networks—after which the commuter line continues as a shuttle train, not stopping until reaching its terminus at New West Station in Nasser city centre; the reverse is true for outbound trains. This setup allows for passengers leaving the city centre to completely bypass the area served by the Capital Metro if their ultimate destination is beyond its reach, and vice-versa for inbound passengers.

The Capital Express is fully electrified, its rolling stock consisting of electric multiple units powered by alternating current delivered via overhead catenary. It operates seven days a week from 5:00 to 21:30, with trains arriving every 4–8 minutes during weekday peak hours (Sunday to Thursday, 6:30–10:00 for inbound trains and 3:30–7:00 for outbound trains) and every 10–15 minutes thereafter.
