The Capital Metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service (CMFRS) (Arabic: خدمة النار والإنقاذ للعاصمة المتروبولتانية khidmat an-nār wal-inqādh lil-ʿāṣimah al-mitrūbūlitãnīyah; colloquially known as خدمة النار khidmat an-nār, lit. "the fire service") is the fire brigade responsible for providing fire prevention, firefighting, fire investigation and other emergency lifesaving and rescue services (both within the context of a fire and otherwise) to all municipal councils within (ie. the entirety of) the Capital metropolitan community, which entails virtually the whole of the metropolitan area centred on Nasser City, the federal capital of the Arab Union. It has its headquarters at 150 Armoury Street W in central Nasser City, about 350 meters northwest of Victory Square.

The CMFRS is known for its distinctly green-yellow fire trucks and similarly coloured ambulances, which distinguishes the latter from the white-and-red ambulances operated by the National Health Authority (NHA). The service maintains 133 fully active stations throughout the 30 councils which constitute the Capital metropolitan community, employing 4550 full-time firefighters (of whom women represent 334 or 7.34% of the total), 522 auxiliary (part-time) firefighters (of whom women represent 105 or 31.44% of the total), 338 administrative staff and 45 fire inspectors, for a grand total of 5455 employees. This number increases to 5456 if including the Chief of Operations, to whom all staff at all levels ultimately answer and who himself answers to the Secretary of Urban Security and Emergency Preparedness under the Capital Metropolitan Combined Authority. The current Chief of Operations is Abdurrahman Mansour Akrami, in office since 2018.
