The Cedric War was a war which lasted from 10 September 1490 to 11 May 1525, fought primarily at sea between the navies of the Kingdom of Atlantica Alba and the Kingdom of Cedar. Initiated less than two years following the 1 January 1524 accession of Michael III of Atlantica Alba to the throne, the conflict sought to bring the then-de facto independent Kingdom of Cedar under the throne of Atlantica Alba. The war was fought primarily at sea between the two kingdoms' navies, and ended in a decisive defeat of the Cedric fleets and army, and the crowning on 11 June 1525 of Michael III as Michael I of Cedar. From that point on, the Kingdom of Cedar has been a semi-autonomous country held in personal union with Atlantica Alb, like its five other fellow Personal Realms.
