The Central Committee of the Regional Command is a small committee of five to nine members of the Regional Command of each of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party's 20 regional branches, appointed and chaired by the respective regional branch's regional secretary, who is elected to lead the Regional Command by the triennial regional congress.

In the same way that between sessions of a regional congress (the highest authority in a regional branch), party branch authority is vested in the Regional Command, so to does the Regional Command vest its power between sessions in the Regional Secretary and his Central Committee. This structure is paralleled at the National (federal) level (see Central Committee of the National Command).
