From JSC Archives
Jump to navigationJump to searchIn the Canadian Republic, a Chief Constable is the highest-ranking law enforcement official of a provincial police agency. Chief Constables always have a single Deputy Chief Constable, and several (five to ten) Assistant Chief Constables; these make up the three highest ranks in the provincial police. The equivalent rank in a sheriff service is "Sheriff", while the equivalent rank in the RCMP is Commissioner.
