The Commissioner of the British Columbia Provincial Police (Commissioner of the BCPP) is the highest ranking sworn officer of the British Columbia Provincial Police (BCPP), equivalent to the chief constable of a local police force. The Commissioner is supported by a single Deputy Commissioner, to which many of the Commissioner's routine responsibilities are delegated; the Deputy Commissioner also oversees 10 to 12 lieutenants, who are the third-highest ranking officers in the BCPP, and who each oversee an operations or investigational directorate of the BCPP.
