Coquitlam County, British Columbia
Coquitlam County is one of six counties in the Lower Mainland region of the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC). Its county seat and most populous municipality is Coquitlam, from which the county takes its name. In December 2020, Coquitlam County had an estimated population of 1.59 million.
The three most populous municipalities of Coquitlam County (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody) are colloquially known as the Tricities; each has a population over 300,000, and all three are significantly older than the county's other municipalities; the remaining municipalities of the county are smaller, although Austin Heights has a population of 255,300.
