Counties of British Columbia
From JSC Archives
Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Canadian province of British Columbia (BC) consists of 30 counties, which constitute the upper-tier municipalities of the province. Each county consists of several lower-tier municipalities (cities, towns, townships and/or boroughs) as well as unincorporated areas directly administered by the respective county. While many local government services are provided by lower-tier municipalities, certain services are exclusively the responsibility of the counties, such as law enforcement.
