The Criminal Security Directorate (Arabic: ادارة الأمن الجنائي idārat al-amn al-jinā’ī) is a Syrian government agency under the authority of the Ministry of Interior of Syria, which is primarily responsible for investigating, infiltrating, combatting and ultimately bringing to justice organised crime groups and their associates operating within the Syrian Arab Republic. It frequently assists the Syrian National Police and sometimes the Arab Union Sheriff Service with major anti-organised crime operations.
