The Deputy Chief Constable of the Lower Mainland Constabulary is the second-highest ranking sworn officer of the Lower Mainland Constabulary. Unlike the immediately lower rank of Assistant Chief Constable, there can only be one Deputy Chief Constable answerable to the Chief Constable, with all other senior officers holding the rank of Assistant Chief Constable or below.

The Deputy Chief Constable (abbreviated DCC) answers to the Chief Constable of the Lower Mainland Constabulary, whose routine roles the DCC takes on regularly when the Chief Constable is unavailable due to the many political and/or diplomatic functions the Chief Constable undertakes on a daily basis. Most of the constabulary staff, especially those below the rank of Assistant Chief Constable (ACC), answer directly to the DCC, and only see, let alone meet with, the Chief Constable during official functions or celebrations as well as very important court hearings or plenary constabulary meetings. It is generally understood that much of the day-to-day executive power of the Chief Constable is delegated to the DCC, with the DCC responsible for keeping the Chief Constable informed on such matters.

The incumbent Deputy Chief Constable is Marlon Reid, in office since March 2016. The office of the Deputy Chief Constable is located at Columbia Street Station, the LMC headquarters, where the Chief Constable also has his office. The Office of the DCC is located on the north wing of the top (fifth) floor of Columbia Street Station; the Chief Constable's office is on the south wing of the same floor, which is more than twice as large, considering the multiple liaison units, offices, and other public relations sections attached to the Office of the Chief Constable. The Chief Constable and Deputy Chief Constable also each have a secondary office at Burrard Street Station in Downtown Vancouver.
