Deputy Regional Secretary (Ba'ath Party)

In any one of the 20 Regional Branches of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party (the ruling political party of the Arab Union), the Deputy Regional Secretary (Arabic: نائب الأمين القطري nā’ib al-amīn al-quṭrī) serves as the second highest ranking member of its respective republic's Regional Branch of the Ba'ath Party, who serves ex officio as the Deputy Governor (deputy head of government) of a particular republic (one of 20 [[wikipedia:Federated state|federated states) of the Arab Union). Answering directly to the respective Regional Branch's chairperson (Regional Secretary) of that particular regional branch.

In the political system of the Arab Union, any of the 20 republics to be governed at the republican level by their respective republic's Ba'athist regional branch, have their Regional Secretary and Deputy Regional Secretary serve, respectively, as the ex officio as Governor and Deputy Governor of that particular republic as its executive leaders.
