Director–General of Federal Corrections

The Director–General of Federal Corrections (Arabic: المدير العام للسجون الفدرالية al-mudīr al-‘ām lis-sujūn al-fidrālīyah) is a senior official in the federal government of the Arab Union, namely its executive branch, the Council of Ministers, to whom the Director–General ultimately answers via the Attorney General of the Arab Union, the chief legal advisor to the federal government, and chief federal prosecutor. The Director–General of Federal Corrections is formally appointed to the position by the President of the Arab Union on advice of the Prime Minister.
