The directorates (French: directions; sg. direction) are the top level of the organisational structure of the Lower Mainland Constabulary (LMC), the local civilian police for all 40 municipalities and six administrative counties in the ceremonial county of the Lower Mainland. Directorates are themselves composed of several divisions, which generally supervise important cases and related cases within their respective directorate's area of jurisdiction.
