The Domestic Trade Act, 1999 (Arabic: قانون التجارة المحلية لعام ١٩٩٩ qānūn at-tijārah al-maḥallīyah li-ʿām 1999) is a law passed by the Arab Congress on 15 July 1999, which governs the conduct of business and nature of corporate entities and other legal persons. It is foundational to corporate law in the Arab Union, consolidating three decades-worth of statutes into a single, exhaustive compendium of corporate and business law under the Arab legal system. The Act also created the Domestic Trade Registry, a non-executive directorate of the Ministry of Trade wherein federally incorporated entities' articles of incorporation are registered.
