Federal Police Act (Canada)

The Federal Police Act, 1989 (French: Loi sur la police fédérale, 1989) is an act of the Parliament of Canada concerning the law enforcement agencies under the jurisdiction of the Canadian federal government.

The Act outlines the various responsibilities, areas of jurisdiction, and limitations of the five main federal law enforcement agencies: the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Canada Sheriff Service (CSS), the Joint Narcotics Special Enforcement Office (JNSEO), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and the Royal Canadian Gendarmerie's Public Security Corps (RCG-PSC).
