Garden City Station (Nasser City)
Garden City Station (Arabic: محطة مدينة البستان maḥaṭṭat madīnat al-bustān) is a transit hub in the Garden City district of Ibrahimia, Nasser City, located at Tishreen Square. It is a hub of 20 bus routes and transfer station for three Nasser City Metro lines (Airport Line, Loop Line and University Line). The station is located below ground level, with an outdoor entrance on Tishreen Square and indoor entrance inside Garden City Arcade (the city's largest indoor shopping centre). Construction began in 1991, and the station opened on New Year's Eve 1994. It is Nasser City's third busiest station, after Union Station and New West Station, and the largest station located entirely underground.
The bus loop is built directly below Tishreen Square, with entrance and exit ramps onto the roundabout encircling the public square, while the station's three subway platforms are built side-by-side under Garden City Arcade. The Tishreen Square entrance consists of stairs, escalators and elevators leading straight down to the bus loop waiting area, with an underground walkway connecting the waiting area to one end of the subway platforms, the other end of which adjoins escalators, stairs and elevators leading up into Garden City Arcade's main indoor plaza. The mall and station share three levels of underground parking built around the platforms, with the lowest level reserved for use by commuters.
