The Governor of Palestine (Arabic: محافظ فلسطين muḥāfiẓ falasṭīn) is the head of government of the Palestinian Arab Republic, one of the Arab Union's 20 republics. The Governor leads the Governorate of Palestine, the executive branch of the republic's government. The Governor of Palestine is elected by the Palestinian Arab Congress, the republic's legislative body, and serves at its pleasure, with no stipulated limit on term length or number of terms a governor may serve. The Governor directly appoints ministers and other officials to the Governorate, which serves as his cabinet, and can be removed from office and his cabinet thus dissolved by a vote of no confidence in Congress.
