The Governorate of Lebanon (Arabic: محافظة لبنان muḥāfaẓat lubnān) is the supreme executive authority of the Lebanese Arab Republic, one of the 20 republics (federated states) of the Arab Union. As the republican government of Lebanon, it controls all Lebanese agencies through various ministries, serving as the cabinet of the Governor of Lebanon. It has its headquarters at the Grand Serail in central Beirut, near the Lebanese Arab Congress.
