Jump to navigationJump to searchGreater Montreal (French: Grand-Montréal) is the second-most populous metropolitan area in Canada and the largest by urban landmass. It is centred on the City of Montreal (3.53 million), one of six lower-tier municipalities of Laval–Dorval (5.93 million), the primary component of Greater Montreal. In December 2020, Greater Montreal had an estimated population of 7.78 million, consisting of 22 lower-tier municipalities across five upper-tier municipalities and two independent municipalities.
