Jump to navigationJump to searchInternal Affairs, Unit 5 (IA5) is one of three official professional standards units of the Lower Mainland Constabulary (LMC), the police force responsible for the Canadian province of British Columbia's most populous region, the Lower Mainland. IA5 is the second-largest of the three operational units of the LMC's Directorate of Internal Affairs, after IA9, and while fully empowered to investigate alleged professional misconduct and corruption within all areas of the constabulary, it is primarily responsible for operating the constabulary's Witness Protection & Relocation Program.
IA5 has its offices at Port Moody Station in Port Moody, Coquitlam County. The current commanding officer of IA5 is Chief Superintendent Alice Athan.
