Joseph Aoun Pasha (Arabic: يوسف عون باشا; b. 27 May 1950 in Zahlé, age 71) is a Lebanese businessman and retired crime boss who served as head of the Levantine Mafia from 1977 to 2009. He was succeeded in 2009 by his son-in-law Saadallah Maalouf. He currently splits his time between his hometown of Zahlé, Beirut and St. Petersburg, in the latter two of which he owns several hotels, restaurants, cafés and apartment buildings. Aoun graduated from Damascus University in 1973 with a Master's of Business Administration, and married his first and current wife Anisa Khoury the following year.
