Kohen, Kohen and Rasmussen
Kohen, Kohen and Rasmussen (KK&R) is a transnational legal firm founded in Copenhagen in 1919 as a general partnership of attorneys Willem Mads Stenberg Kohen, Niels Michæl Simeon Kohen and Christian Henrik Naarby Rasmussen. By 1936, the firm had grown into one of the most successful in Denmark, handling much of the legal side of Copenhagen's foreign trade economy. During the Second World War, the leading partners and much of the staff left Denmark for Canada, only returning following liberation in 1945, continuing operations as before. In 1954, W.M. Kohen retired from practice, followed by N.M. Kohen and C.H. Rasmussen in 1958. In 1959, KK&R was acquired by Sortsdam Global Group, a Danish multinational conglomerate, and is today its largest legal firm.
