Kilmark–Killarney (Killarne: Kilmærch–Kilharnas; Killian: Killmairch–Killarnas) is a sovereign island nation and constitutional dual monarchy located in maritime Western Europe, occupying the island of Atlantica Alba and its more than 1100 associated islands. It consists of two separate kingdoms held in personal union since 1447: the Kingdom of Killarney and the Kingdom of Kilmark, which have constituted a real union since 1910. Milo is the most populous city in Kilmark–Killarney and capital of Killarney, while Kilgard, the country's fourth-most populous city, is the capital and most populous city of Kilmark; Milo also serves as the de facto capital of the union, as most royal properties and institutions are located in the city as well as the union's common government, which is responsible for only a handful of matters, the great majority of governing being the responsibility of the two kingdoms' respective governments, which are each much larger than the common government. Kilmark–Killarney has a population of over 55.66 million as of December 2020, with Killarney accounting for almost two thirds of the total population and Kilmark just over one third. Killarney exercises jurisdiction over the eastern half of Atlantica Alba, as well as most of its associated islands, with Kilmark's jurisdiction covering the western half of the island. Kilmark–Killarney is often referred to informally as Atlantica Alba, although officially this term refers only to the dual monarchy's main island.
