Monarchy of Atlantica Alba
The Monarchy of Atlantica Alba and the Personal Realms (Atlantic: Monarchiaemch Albí Atlí nos Riúmchu Prímí), informally known as the Atlantic Monarchy has or colloquially as the Monarchy, is the highest institution of state in the Kingdom of Atlantica Alba and the Personal Realms. It is one of the two oldest institutions still active in the country today alongside the Archdiocese of Atlantica Alba, both dating from ca. 880, and has been a constitutional monarchy on three separate occasions during its history: 1199–1250, 1555–1689 and 1716–present.
The incumbent monarch is styled (By the Grace of God) His/Her Majesty the King/Queen Regnant of Atlantica Alba and the Personal Realms, and serves as head of state according to the constitution and commander-in-chief of the Royal Defence.
Andrew X ascended the throne as King of Atlantica Alba and the Personal Realms on 10 May 1981, following the abdication of his father Andrew IX the same day.
