Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Kuwaiti Arab Republic (Arabic: الجمهورية العربية الكويتية al-jumhūriyah al-‘arabīyah al-kuwaytīyah), informally known as Kuwait (الكويت al-kuwayt), is one the the Arab Union's 20 member republics. It borders the Iraqi Arab Republic to the north, the Peninsular Arab Republic to the south, and the Persian Gulf to the east. Its capital is Kuwait City, which is the cultural and economic heart of Kuwait and home to the majority of its population.
