Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Māoli are the indigenous peoples of the King Christian Islands. They speak the Māoli language, alongside Danish due to the islands' status as an overseas collectivity of Denmark. While Danish serves as the language of government, administration, business, etc., Māoli remains the language spoken at home by at least 90% of Māolis, and even those who don't claiming at least basic understanding of the language.
