Magdalen County (French: Comté-Madeleine) is one of 33 counties (administrative counties) of the Canadian province of Québec. It is also a ceremonial county of Quebec in its own right.

Magdalen County comprises the former Magdalen Islands (Îles-de-Madeleine), since the county's establishment in the late 1980s as the main cosmodrome for CANCOSMOS, the former ten islands now consist of only three: all eight inhabited islands have since been connected by dikes, while Île d'Entrée and Île Brion, both inhabited by less than 200 people, a population which nearly triples in the summer months, were not included in the cosmodrome project, and each thus remain their own incorporated municipalities within Magdalen County accessible by ferry from Prince Edward Island via the Garneau Cosmodrome terminal.

The eight now-connected islands were bought in 1988 by CANCOSMOS, and transformed into the space agency's largest cosmodrome (the Garneau Cosmodrome), the main launching and retrieval point of CANCOSMOS' signature reusable Delta Gliders as well as the launch facility of its satellites and deep-space probes. The population of 8243 consists almost entirely of CANCOSMOS employees, as well as a handful of Canadian Aerospace Forces and Royal Canadian Gendarmerie personnel responsible for the cosmodrome's military defence.
