Martyrs' Square (Arabic: ساحة الشهداء sāḥat ash-shuhadā’) is one of the three main squares of downtown Nasser City, the federal capital of the Arab Union, and the heart of the Nasser City borough of Khan el-Malek, the city's third-most populous borough. Martyrs' Square sits at the centre of a large roundabout, at the intersection of Arsuzi Avenue and Martyrs' Boulevard. Martyrs' Square features a 23-metre sensationalist statue of the original Levantine Ba'athist 1960s and 1970s militias which became the Arab Union National Guard. Martyrs' Square is the location of several important institutions and agencies, including Arsuzi Military Academy, the National Armoury and National Museum.
