Michael Roman Castro Reyes (b. 20 June 1966 in Providence, Turks and Caicos Islands) is a Canadian lawyer who has served since 2016 as Chief Justice of the Canadian Republic, overseeing the Supreme Court of Canada and its eight puisne (deputy) justices.

Prior to becoming Chief Justice of Canada, Castro served as Chief Appellate Justice of Canada (the presiding judge of the Federal Court of Appeal) between 2010 and 2016. From 2002 to 2010, Castro served as the Capital District Police and Crime Commissioner (the chairperson of the civilian oversight committee and official employer of Ottawa's RCMP), and from 1997 to 2002 was Crown Attorney of Ottawa, leader of the Capital District Crown Prosecution Authority. Castro graduated from the Faculty of Law at McGill University in 1994, and from 1995 to 1997 worked as a Deputy Crown Attorney in the Capital District Crown Prosecution Authority.

Castro has been married since 1988, and currently lives with his wife Lucia in the Ottawa borough of Alta Vista. The Castros have three sons, born 1994, 1998 and 2000, all of whom are currently attending university.
