The Middlesex County Department of Corrections (MCDC) is an executive department subordinate to the Middlesex County Council, which is responsible for operating and maintaining all jails and pretrial remand centres in Middlesex County, Ontario, as well as administering the county's parole and probation system. Provincial prisons are operated at the provincial level by the Ontario Department of Corrections, and federal facilities by Corrections Canada. Local policing in Middlesex County and all eighteen of its incorporated municipalities (including the county seat of London) is handled by the Middlesex County Police Service.
