Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Ministry of Communications (Arabic: وزارة الاتِّصالات wuzārat al-ittiṣālāt) is an executive department under the Council of Ministers of the Arab Union. It is responsible for managing the official public communications of the government of the Arab Union and regulating the broadcasting and media industries. The current Minister of Communications is Abdel Raouf el-Sabti, in office since 1 September 2018.

- Mass Communications Directorate (MCD): Responsible for regulating standards of mass communication across the union, including the officially approved variant of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and its state-approved use.
