The Ministry of Defence (Danish: Forsvarsministeriet, FMN) is an executive department of the Cabinet of Denmark, responsible for overseeing the Danish Defence Forces (DDF) and all policy related to the military defence and national security of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Danish Realm. It is charged with overall planning, development, and strategic guidance of the entire area of responsibility of the Minister of Defence (Forsvarsministeren), including the regular military, special forces, and military intelligence sections. The headquarters of the Ministry of Defence is located on the northeast corner of Holbergsgade and Christians Brygge, near the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Justice, as well as the Danish Parliament.
