The Moroccan Arab Republic (Arabic: الجمهورية العربية المغربية al-jumhūriyah al-‘arabīyah al-maghribīyah), informally known as Morocco (المغرب al-maghrib; lit. "the West"), is a state in Northwest Africa which is one of 20 federated republics of the Arab Union. Its capital is Rabat and most populous city is Casablanca. Arabic and Berber serve as official languages at the republican level, meaning all communications issues by the Moroccan government are bilingual, as opposed to the Arabic-only communications of the Arab Union federal government.
