Nasser City Seismic Security Service
The Nasser City Seismic Security Service (Arabic: خدمة الأمن الزلزالي لمدينة الناصر khidmat al-amn az-zilzālī li-madīnat an-nāṣir) is an agency of the municipal government of Nasser City, the federal capital of the Arab Union, subordinate to the Nasser City Ministry of Emergency Response. It has two primary responsibilities: developing the preparedness of the population for survival and evacuation in the event of an earthquake, which in addition to creating a response plan includes ensuring all citizens are adequately prepared and all city structures and infrastructure are appropriately seismically robust, funding those structures in need of upgrades; and responding to any and all consequences in the event of an earthquake, from guiding the safe evacuation of the population to minimising the damage caused by the earthquake to both people and resources.
